Winner at Wolverhampton

4yo filly Hewouldwouldnthe won the 2m handicap under a perfectly executed ride from our long serving amateur rider James Harding. This was another winner for our new syndicate Fillies First, who lease four fillies, all of which have now won this year (details on joining on Horses For Sale page). Fittingly, the colours used by the syndicate are those of the late Tom Edwards who was James Harding’s great uncle.

Tom was a long serving syndicate member with us and his best horse was Annecdote who won for us at Royal Ascot and Glorious Goodwood. He loved fillies and the last horse he ever bought into with us was Folies Bergeres, a winner this year and founding filly of the Fillies First syndicate designed to offer members affordable ownership, regular action and to somehow keep the memory of dear Tom alive at Whitcoombe Stables. We always told him he was our lucky mascot and after a below par season in 2017 we felt we needed some luck! So far we are on 11 winners for the year, four of them for Fillies First, so maybe it’s working.
