Cunning Act, our multiple winning stayer of 2011, sadly is no longer with us having been put down at Salisbury races following a serious shoulder fracture.
We had nursed him back from a tendon strain and given him ample time off and very sympathetic training. It was a shock therefore that it it was something unrelated to his tendon weakness that ended his life.
He was such a character. A bit of a show off who pretended to dislike anyone but actually craved their attention and always had a buck and a smile for anyone who cared to admire him, either in or out of his stable.
His half sister is a promising two year old called Hound Music so hopefully she can carry on the family’s winning way.
