Maybelater retired to stud

 In Latest News

We have not had much news to report lately. The horses have been running well but winners have eluded us for a week or two.

Stable star Mrs Danvers picked up an infection shortly after her Listed triumph and had to take a break from training for three weeks but is back into her routine now with her next intended target being the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket on October 7.

Owner Anita Wigan has made the decision to retire her four year old filly Maybelater. She has been a joy to train and has this season been placed in two competitive Listed races. Lightly raced, she was won three races and been placed a total of 8 times from just 12 runs. I am sure she will make a wonderful broodmare and we will miss her.

Meanwhile our focus is being shared with the upcoming yearling sales season. I have been getting around many of the nearby studs to view their drafts in an attempt to seek out the next Mrs Danvers / Maybelater. If I can look for one for you please shout!
