Winner at Goodwood

3 year old gelding Bownder won the 10f handicap for owners the Williams family under an accomplished ride from apprentice Jack Callan.

Drawn wide and quite slowly away Bownder was swiftly relegated to last place for the early part of the race. Brought wide in the straight victory still looked unlikely but Jack got a lovely run out of the horse to win by over a length inspite of some wandering about.

This was Bownder’s third career win.
